Description
Located on the charming south-western shore of Lake Maggiore, the campsite enjoys a privileged, peaceful and panoramic position, ideal for those who want a holiday immersed in nature without giving up the convenience of the main tourist attractions.
The property is just 7 km from Arona, a renowned lakeside town, and is a strategic starting point for visiting some of the most fascinating destinations in Northern Italy: the Rocca di Angera (12 km), the Hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso (25 km), Stresa and the Borromean Islands (26 km), Orta and the Island of San Giulio (30 km) and the Sacro Monte of Varese (35 km). Thanks to its location, Milan is also easily reachable (about 60 km away), making the campsite ideal for day trips as well.
Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the many scenic cycling paths in the surrounding area, offering spectacular views of Lake Varese. Most routes are flat and safe, making them perfect for families with children too.
Private Beach on Lake Maggiore
The campsite is located directly on Lake Maggiore and features a private sandy beach, perfect for families with children and for those who wish to relax by the lakeshore.
The beach is divided into a free area and an equipped area with sunbeds and umbrellas, which can be rented on site or booked in advance.
Ohana Water Park
For the enjoyment of both adults and children, there is a floating water park on the lake (for a fee), a very popular attraction that guarantees fun in complete safety. Access requires the mandatory use of a life jacket provided by the campsite.
Floating Pool
Inside the campsite there is a floating pool on the lake, a unique experience that combines the pleasure of swimming with the beauty of the surrounding landscape.
Access to the pool is allowed by on-site booking for the same day, especially during peak periods, to ensure comfort and safety.
Opening hours:
Morning: 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Afternoon: 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Opening period: from mid-May to mid-September (depending on weather conditions)
The use of a swimming cap is mandatory.

There is also a well-equipped playground for children.
It is also possible to rent bicycles, canoes, pedal boats and a 40 hp motorboat (no boating license required), ideal for exploring the lake and the surrounding area.

Inside the campsite there is a restaurant-pizzeria offering breakfast, lunch and dinner service. The restaurant also provides takeaway service. Guests can enjoy pizza and typical Italian dishes in an informal and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for the whole family.

Important Information
The campsite uses a cashless payment system: cash is not accepted inside the property. Guests can pay by debit card, credit card or by using a convenient prepaid Camping Card, which can be easily recharged at the reception and used for the bar, restaurant, services and rentals.
Dogs (max. 35 kg)
Four-legged friends are welcome at Camping Italia Lido, which provides a dedicated dog beach and a dog exercise area for them.
Dogs are allowed in Happy Camp mobile homes upon request and for a fee (maximum 1 dog per mobile home).
The cost for one dog is €8.00 per day or €50.00 per week, plus a €20.00 final cleaning fee to be paid on site.
We recommend checking the campsite regulations and the local or national laws in force.

Air conditioning: an additional charge of €5.00 per day, to be paid on site.

Final cleaning: we kindly ask you to leave the mobile home clean and tidy; otherwise, €40.00 (Happy Comfort) or €50.00 (Happy Premium) will be deducted from the deposit.
Pets: the cost for a dog is €8.00 per day or €50.00 per week, plus €20.00 for cleaning, to be paid on site.
Tourist tax: depending on the municipality of the campsite (we recommend contacting the campsite directly for the rate).
Optional Extra Services:
If you don’t want to bring everything from home, you can book the following services up to 7 days before arrival, with payment at the campsite:
Double bed linen set: €20.00 per set.
Single bed linen set: €15.00 per set.
Towel set: €10.00 per set (includes one shower towel and one face towel).
Baby cot (without mattress): €3.00 per day.
High chair: €3.00 per day.
Please note that blankets and pillows are already provided in every accommodation.
Check-in and Check-out
Upon arrival, you will find the Happy Camp Reception and the Park Managers ready to assist you with check-in, key collection, and any requests. The reception's opening hours will be visible at the main Happy Camp desk.
- Check-in: available from 4:00 PM.
- Check-out: by 10:00 AM.
For families and groups of friends wishing to book more than two mobile homes, we kindly ask you to contact us by email so we can check availability and confirm acceptance by the campsite.
We kindly invite young guests aged 18 to 25 to send us a request via email, allowing us to verify the possibility of admission by the campsite.
Minors are not allowed to stay alone and are only admitted if staying in the same mobile home with a parent or responsible adult, subject to prior request sent via email.
Cancellation Policy
- Up to 30 days before arrival: No penalty, full refund of the amount paid.
- From the 29th to the 9th day before arrival: 50% penalty on the total amount.
- From the 8th to the 4th day prior to arrival: 75% penalty on the total amount.
- From the 3rd day prior to arrival: No refund (100% penalty).
